What We Do

Why Join

I am already doing things in nature. Why should I become a Master Naturalist?

  • Classes: You can become a state certified Master Naturalist by taking advantage of the outstanding curriculum and program provided yearly. Detailed information under Class Info tab on home page.
  • Partners: Become a volunteer for one of our partner programs and meet like-minded people with the intense training you will receive. Find out about the dozens of opportunities available to make a difference in the preservation and restoration of  our Blackland Prairie.
  • Statewide Support Groups: Become a partner in the work being done by fellow Master Naturalists and Texas Parks and Wildlife.
  • Confidence: You will receive training and access to curriculums and contacts that prepare you to share your knowledge through classes for children, trail guiding, HOA meetings, and various other opportunities to spread the word about the natural habitat that is called the Blackland Prairie.
