The Class of 2012 is in session …
The Class of 2012 is underway. This year’s class has 14 participants who will very shortly, complete their initial training. The next scheduled opportunity to take the certification class will be Spring 2013. Becoming a Texas Certified Master Naturalist involves:
- submitting a Master Naturalist trainee application
- submitting a background check form and passing a background check
- paying a registration fee of $150.00 (2012 fee for Central Texas Chapter)
- completing 40 classroom hours of cetification instruction using the State Master Naturalist curriculum
- completing 40 hours of approved volunteer service hours per calendar year
- completing 8 approved advanced training hours per calendar year in addition to the certification classes
Maintaining your certification for subsequent year entails:
- Paying the chapter annual dues ($24 for Central Texas chapter)
- Completing at least 40 hours of approved volunteer service hours per calendar year
- Completing at least 8 hours of approved advanced training per calendar year
- Periodically submitting to and passing a background check

Please note that registration for Spring 2013 is not yet open. When registration opens, both forms should be mailed or hand delivered, accompanied by your tuition fee of $150.00, to the address below:
