Birds That Boogie

Birds That Boogie

On behalf of the UT Plant Biology Program, an invitation has been extended to the Texas Master Naturalist community to the 2017 Jean Andrews Lecture at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center on Sunday, April 2.  The Wildflower Center is located at 4801 La Crosse Ave., Austin, TX 78739 (512.232.0100).

The event will start at 1pm with an ecology-inspired reception with snacks and activities, followed at 2pm by an all-ages science talk. This year, Dr. Bette Loiselle, Director of the Tropical Conservation and Development Program and a professor in the department of Wildlife Ecology at the University of Florida, will be sharing fun and interesting information about her research on tropical bird courtship behaviors and how these birds assist in maintaining the function and biodiversity of tropical forests. This event is open to the public and free, and all ages are encouraged to attend! http://www.wildflower.org/event/loiselle-science-lecture.
