GARDEN EVENTS IN APRIL:
1) Cactus and Rock Club Garden Tour:
Saturday and Sunday, April 4 and April 5
The El Paso Cactus and Rock Club will open eleven gardens to the public featuring cactus and other desert-adapted succulent plants on Saturday and Sunday, April 4 and 5. Seven west side gardens are open on Saturday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Then on Sunday, April 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., four northeast gardens will be open to the public. Admission is $5.00 per person or $8.00 per family to visit all eleven gardens.
West side locations are 417 Valplano, 7237 Orizaba, 5734 Kingsfield, 805 Baltimore, 1225 Robinson, 1006 Madeline and 701 Blacker. Northeast locations are 3414 Sunnyside, 3008 Titanic, 3414 Eclipse, 4432 Loma Diamante. Tickets will be available at all locations. The public may purchase plants for their own gardens at 5734 Kingsfield on Saturday and 3008 Titanic on Sunday. The El Paso Cactus and Rock Club meets the first Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. at 3105 Grant Avenue. For additional information, call 585-2149 or 240-7414.
2) FloraFest Preview:
Thursday, April 9, 7:00 PM
Wynn Anderson, Botanical Curator for the Chihuahuan Desert Gardens at the UTEP Centennial Museum will present a preview of the native plants that will be offered for sale to the public on April 25-26 at FloraFest.

3) The El Paso Rose Society Show:
Sunday, April 19, Noon to 4:30 PM
The show will be open for public viewing from 12:00 noon to 4:30 pm in the Senior Center at 1800 Byron (just next door to the rose garden behind the east end).
Rose Show entries will come in between 7am and 9:30am Sunday morning, and judging will take place between 10:15 and 12 noon.
Rose Society members and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions at the show and at the garden. For information call 585-2149.
The El Paso Municipal Rose Garden is open every day, including Saturday and Sunday, until 6pm at 1702 N. Copia (at Aurora).
4) UTEP’s Florafest lecture and Native Plant Sale:
