Where: Omni Houston Westside Hotel, 13210 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079
Join us for our 21st Texas Master Naturalist Program Annual Meeting, where we’ll gather, learn and celebrate another year of the Texas Master Naturalist program. This year’s event, taking place in Houston, Texas, will run from Friday, October 15th through Sunday, October 18th. The event will be hosted at the Omni Houston Westside, just off I-10 near Katy.
The year’s Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for Texas Master Naturalist volunteers from around the state to gather, participate in hands-on educational seminars, and receive all of their Advanced Training requirements for the year within one weekend. It’s also an opportunity for program participants and supporters to network, share new ideas/projects, and to learn from different chapters from different regions of the state. This year’s meeting will also include day trips and training workshops to many local, state and even national refuges/parks, many of which will focus on the diversity of geography, flora, fauna and history this unique area of Texas.
Call for Proposals
The Texas Master Naturalist 2020 Annual Meeting is accepting proposals for presentations! This year’s Annual Meeting will be held October 16th through 18th at the Omni Houston Westside.
The Texas Master Naturalist Program welcomes your proposals as contributions to our agenda! Individuals wishing to present are invited to submit their proposal on the Texas Master Naturalist Annual Meeting Call for Proposals website –
As a training workshop presenter, you would have the opportunity to inform and train TMN members from across the state on various natural resource topics providing more in-depth information than their initial core training and curriculum and you could do so in just one trip on one weekend. You are also encouraged to make this an opportunity to enlist and train our program volunteers to assist you, your program, and your work as part of their annual volunteer service commitment.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday May 31st, 2020.
Additional information about the Call for Proposals, submission requirements and timeline can be found here – Call for Proposals 2020
