Volunteers and amateur astronomers bring telescopes and share their knowledge, helping you view the moon, planets, stars, and other fascinating celestial objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">No experience is needed\u2014and you do <strong>not<\/strong> have to be a Master Naturalist to attend. Everyone is welcome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Should I Know Before I Come?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Arrive before dark if possible so you can easily find our location in the park<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Dim your headlights when entering the viewing area to protect night vision<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Avoid white lights\u2014use red light if you have it (or cover a flashlight with red cellophane)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Dress for the weather\u2014nights can get cool, especially in fall and winter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">No telescope? No problem! wp-block-paragraph\">The Big Country Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist is proud to announce that we have been awarded a pollinator grant to support habitat enhancement at <strong>Jim Bob Park in Benjamin, Texas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">This exciting opportunity allows us to further our mission of conservation, education, and stewardship by creating a space that supports pollinators while enriching the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the Project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">This project expands pollinator habitat within Jim Bob Park, a 250-acre site located in the Narrows of Knox County. An additional 4,000 square feet of pollinator-friendly space will be created, supported by educational and community engagement opportunities in this geographically unique region that divides the Wichita and Brazos watersheds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Through the use of native plants and sustainable practices, this project will create a thriving environment for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Our goal is to establish a space that is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Beneficial to pollinators and local wildlife<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Educational for visitors of all
