Dave is planning a workday with plenty of time to make observations on the prairie restoration.

Meet: He will start at the Hilltop Pavillion near the parking lot.

Project: Prairie restoration in open space on the hill top at Erwin Park in McKinney.

Location4300 County Road 1006, Mckinney, TX 75071

Volunteer Opportunities: Litter removal; removing small trees in the prairie and the motts; gathering/relocating grass and flower seed; educational opportunities for schools, scouts, etc; domcumenting flora and fauna.

Wear: Dress for the weather.  Long sleeve shirts and pants, mud boots or hiking shoes.

Bring: Water, face mask, gloves, small hand tools, small bags for trash collection, loppers.  Also bring your smart phone or camera for opportunites to take pictures to identify the flora and fauna on the prairie.
