AT from your armchair! Sounds perfect for those rainy days or maybe those really hot days. Helping BRIT get their extensive collection of specimens digitized on any day is an important activity, no matter what the weather is doing!
Program: Armchair Botany: Transcribing Botanical Collections
Description: Over three million botanical specimens exist in Texas herbaria. but only a small fraction of these are accessible digitally. BRIT is working to get all their specimens digitized, which will greatly enhance their scientific utility. This Advanced Training session will teach chapter members how to find the BRIT project, transcribe a label, and review specimens. After completing the two-hour session, members will be able to transcribe labels independently and earn Volunteer Hours.
