About: Blackland Prairie Raptor Center is dedicated to environmental preservation through public education and the conservation of birds of prey and wildlife in their natural habitat.

Other Information: At this time the park is only open to the public during these First Saturday events.
Please join us on this First Saturday event to learn about the raptors found here in north Texas. Open to everyone from 10 am to 2 pm. $5 adults, $3 kids, under 3 is free.
- 10 am gates open
- Take a walk through our native Blackland Prairie
- There will be cookies to decorate!
- Meet raptors up-close
- Birds will be on display from 11:00 am to 12 noon
- Fun kid activities – learn about all our raptors!
- Prairie Walk at noon
COST: $5 per adult, $3 kids 3-12, under 3 is free
DIRECTIONS: 1625 Brockdale Park Road. Brockdale Park – cross streets: Lucas Road (FM 3286) & Brockdale Park Road. Take U.S. 75 to Allen, exit Bethany Road. Go east 6.1 miles (Bethany becomes Lucas Road). At the light go east on FM 3286 for approximately 0.6 miles. Turn on to Brockdale Park Road and go approximately 1 mile. BPRC is on the left.
Named after the tallgrass prairie that once covered more than 23,500 square miles of Texas from the Red River to San Antonio, Blackland Prairie Raptor Center is a rehabilitation and conservation education organization, specializing in fostering better public understanding of the relationship between birds of prey and healthy ecosystems.
