(AT) BRIT Field Trip

January 23 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

This Chapter member field trip includes a tour of the BRIT facility and a self- guided tour of the grounds on Thursday, January 23rd from 1.30 – 3.30pm.   Brit is a research and learning center focused on conservation and knowledge sharing.  Attendees will learn about the BRIT herbarium which holds 1,445,000 plant specimens from around the world – educational programs and the BRIT’s sustainable building which is green from the ground up.  BRIT’s mission is to conserve our natural heritage by deepening our knowledge of the plant world and achieve public understanding of the value plants bring to life.  

( Individuals willing to drive / carpool or assist others who wish to participate should contact rickt@bptmn.org to secure a place.  There is usually a fee involved with visiting the BRIT but it has been waived for this date only.   The BRIT has requested we provide the number of participants by January 3, 2020.  They request the time to secure an adequate number of ambassadors on hand to lead tours.
