(AT) Elm Fork June Chapter Meeting – Practice of Slow Birding

I would like to invite the Blackland Prairie chapter to our meeting on Thursday, June 17, 2021. I have the following speaker that I thought you might be interested in hearing.

     Bridget Butler of Bird Diva Consulting will be our guest speaker at the June 17, 2021 meeting.Bird Diva Bridget Butler will share the practice of Slow Birding and how you can awaken your innate birding skills and reconnect with nature. She’ll share a variety of techniques that will help you look at birds, listen to them and interpret their behavior that will not only build your skills as a naturalist but will provide you with a practice that will allow you to slow down and reconnect with the natural world.

Bridget Butler, AKA The Bird Diva, has been working in conservation education for more than 20 years in the northeast. She is the owner of Bird Diva Consulting providing outreach services focused on birds and conservation. Bridget’s Slow Birding™ programs reimagine how we connect with birds and build a stronger sense of place. She has worked for the Audubon Society in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. An annual guest on Vermont Public Radio for more than 10 years, she’s also been interviewed by the Outside/In Podcast and the American Birding Association Podcast. Bridget lives in northwestern Vermont with her husband and three young children.
