AT ONLINE Hummingbird Week Virtual Birding Seminar

Hello Blackland Prairie Master Naturlalists!

Here’s a virtual birding seminar for you – Hummer Week! Who needs Shark Week when you can participate in Hummer Week and learn about Hummingbirds from experts all over the country! Hummer Week presentations will take place each day at 3 pm CST on August 15th – 19th.

The presentations will be recorded for those who want to watch in the evenings.

There is a fee to attend these presentations: $30 to attend all presentations, $12 per presentation.  The funds raised through these fees go to supporting Rio Diablo Youth Birding Camp (an affordable advanced youth birding camp) through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.

 

Program:  Hummer Week – Birding with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Virtual Birding Seminar   

Description/Speakers: 

  • Monday, August 15th: Hummingbird Identification, Sheri Williamson
  • Tuesday, August 16th: Hummingbird Research, Dr. Jessie Williamson
  • Wednesday, August 17th: Hummingbird Research, Kelly Bryan
  • Thursday, August 18th: Making the Most of Hummingbird Photography Experience, Lee Hoy
  • Friday, August 19th: Getting Started Sketching: Hummingbirds, Catherine Hamilton

Date:  Monday-Friday, August 15-19, 2022

Time:  3:00 PM CST each day

Cost:  Hummer Week ALL ACESS PASS: $30 (includes access to all presentations during Hummer Week and the recordings).  Day Pass: $12 per a program

Participants will receive information on how to join the virtual program via email during the week of August 8 – 12, 2022.
