AT ONLINE Creating an Engaging Story Walk

Sorry for the short notice on this webinar, it takes place tomorrow, September 7.  If you want to participate, you must register by 6:00 PM CDT TODAY.  The workshop will be offered twice.  However, the 2:00 PM class is SOLD OUT.  There is still room to attend the 7:00 PM class.

 

Program:  Literacy in the Garden: Creating an Engaging Story Walk

Speaker:  Cheryl Potemkin, Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Botanical Research Institute of Texas

Description:  StoryWalks are designed to engage guests in literacy learning, physical activity, and a connection to nature. First developed by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, we will take a look at different options to install and display your own StoryWalk. This in-depth look will discuss working within copyrights, choosing books, affordable and weather resistant display options, events, community partnerships, and a virtual walk through FWBG|BRIT’s own StoryWalk on the Pollinator Pathway.
