AT ONLINE – Gardening for Monarchs and other Wildlife with Native Plants Workshop – 2-day workshop September 14 & 16

Here is a 2-day online workshop on gardening with native plants for monarchs and all pollinators.  Participating in this workshop will earn you 10 hours of AT.  PLEASE NOTE:  There is a $50 fee for this workshop! 

 

 

Program:  Gardening for Monarchs and other Wildlife with Native Plants Workshop 

 

Speakers:  National Wildlife Federation (NWF), Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, San Antonio River Authority, Native Plant Society of Texas, and the S.F. Austin Gardens (University of Nacogdoches) representatives.

 

Description:  Join this 2-part workshop to learn how to design and create urban gardens using native plants adapted to specific Texas ecotypes. You will learn how to identify opportunities for monarch habitat restoration, and how to create an attractive garden for wildlife in your front yard and other urban areas using native plants.

 

This is the third level of training of the Monarch Steward Certification program.  If you have attended the first two levels already, once you attend this workshop, you will be certified as one of the National Wildlife Federation’s Monarch Stewards.  Anyone can participate in this workshop, whether you have attended the first two levels or not.

 

Cost:  This 2-day workshop carries a $50 fee to support NWF’s education work in the region
