(AT) Winter Night Hike at the Heard Museum

On January 20, the Heard will host our annual Winter Night Hike. Night Hikes are filled with the thrilling sights, smells, and sounds of night. Night hikers will be encouraged to sharpen their senses to be able to spot signs of animal life and learn more about the inhabitants of the Heard. Night Hike Attendance Tips

All night hikes depart from the main Building

Closed toed shoes, long pants, and bug spray are recommended.

You may bring a flashlight; however, it must have a red lens (or red film covering the lense) on it to protect your night vision (and the night vision of guests around you) while looking for nocturnal animals! Head lamps are not permitted.

Cost: $14 non-members / $12 Heard Museum Members* (Age 3 years through adult

Participants will be outdoors for at least an hour.

Children ages 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Hikes are at least an hour long and include varied terrain and may not be suitable for children under 5 years. Admission for toddlers and infants 2 years and under is free, but they must be in a carrier or backpack. Strollers are prohibited.

Please note that Night Hikes book up quickly. Please register as soon as possible to guarantee availability. If you are unable to complete the registration process online, tickets may be purchased at the admissions desk of the museum prior to the event, while supplies last.
