Registration for the Annual Meeting

August 5, 2020 - September 30, 2020

BPTMN Chapter Members:

As you know, the 21st Texas Master Naturalist Program Annual Meeting will be hosted online starting Wednesday October 14th through Saturday October 17th.

The Event Website is now LIVE with lots of information about this years Annual Meeting – check it out: https://cvent.me/5VDPlq

Registration will open on Wednesday, August 5.  Now is the time to start planning how you will participate.   The first 250 registrants will be mailed a Virtual Registration Box with fun desk and connect from home items. Included in the Virtual Registration Box will be a *surprise* naturalist-themed book donated by our sponsor, TAMU Press.

Agenda & Session Descriptions
On the agenda this year there are four daily featured speakers, 92 sessions in all ranging from stewardship, entomology, citizen science, to backyard naturalist tips and plant ecology!

Virtual Field Sessions
There will also be pre-conference virtual field sessions on Tuesday, August 13.  Local Houston regional chapters, who would have hosted our in-person Annual Meeting, have instead graciously offered to host virtual field sessions prior to the Annual Meeting. These will be short segments touring local project sites, exploring the local ecosystems, and highlighting that which makes Houston one of the most diverse regions of our country!

Annual Meeting Contests
Every year leading up to and during the Annual Meeting, there are a series of contests, including the Photo, Art, & Media Contest, Video Contest, Project Fair, and Chapter Advisor Award.   Check the Event Website for information about each contest and deadlines for entries.  If you have any questions about any of this year’s contests, please reach out to Mary Pearl Meuth (mpmeuth@tamu.edu) or Michelle Haggerty (mmhaggerty@tamu.edu).

Keep up with all of the latest announcements and be on the watch for our Annual Meeting registration to open by joining us on Facebook. You can also check out the 2020 Annual Meeting Facebook Event and click ‘Going’ to see all the latest updates about our keynote speaker, sponsors and contests!
