City of Plano is still short five volunteers for this weekend’s event.

- Bird ID by Sight Table 9:00am-1:00pm – 1 adult volunteers
- Bird Migration Game 9:00am-1:00pm – 2 adult volunteers
- Welcome Table 9:00am-1:00pm –1 adult volunteer

Here’s an opportunity to share “all you know about birds” at the Live Green in Plano All About Birds event. There are a variety of different stations that need to be staffed. Be sure to download the attached flyer for detailed information about each station listed below.
Event: All About Birds Event
Date: Saturday, May 14, 2022
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Description: All About Birds is an outdoor family friendly event offering interactive learning stations attendees rotate through providing education about birds. Each volunteer role involves direct public-facing interactions. Only volunteers comfortable being around potentially unmasked individuals should sign up.
Activities:
- Bird Baths Table 9:00am-1:00pm – 1 adult volunteer
- Bird ID by Sight Table 9:00am-1:00pm – 2 adult volunteers
- Bird Migration Game 9:00am-1:00pm – 2 adult volunteers
- Bird Trivia Game 9:00am-1:00pm – 2 adult volunteers
- Bird-Friendly Plants Table 9:00am-1:00pm – 1 volunteer age 16+
- Birdie’s Café Table 9:00am-1:00pm – 1 adult volunteer
- Make-n-Take Bird Binoculars Table 9:00am-1:00pm – 1 volunteer age 16+
- Make-n-Take Window Decals Table 9:00am-1:00pm – 4 volunteers age 16+
- Welcome Table 9:00am-1:00pm – 2 adult volunteers

Sign Up to Volunteer:
- All volunteers must signup prior to the day of the event. Walk ups are not accepted.
- Volunteer sign-ups close Thursday, May 12.

Dress: Routine dress code for activity in the field: Long-pants, boots/close-toed shoes; long-sleeved shirts are recommended. Master Naturalists should wear their name badges.
Bring: Drinking water, sunscreen, insect repellant

Logging VH: All of above activities approved. VH should be logged as BPTMN: Public Outreach with “Plano Birding event” and a few words about the station worked.
