(VH) Frisco Parks Work Days

October 12, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Hi all – Looks like we have a good chance for more rain this week (yay!), so the location for the seedball making days this Tuesday and Thursday is changing to an indoor venue.

Instead of meeting at Frisco Commons Park on tomorrow, Oct. 12, and Thursday, Oct. 14, we’ll gather at the Frisco Parks Admin. Building, at 6726 Walnut Street. We’ll meet in the lobby and from there go to a large work room for the seedball making.

Same meet time, 9am.

Michelle, Linda – Can you please change the location for the Oct 12 and 14 seedball making work days, to 6726 Walnut St.?

Thanks,

Rick

Hi all – The great 2021 Frisco seed harvest is complete, and we’ve got THE TON of seed we collected sorted, bagged, and ready for some prep work for seedball making. Prepping the seed for the Frisco Parks “Buffalo Stomp” event the last Saturday in October will be our focus the next few weeks. Here’s the VH work schedule (Which we’ll also add to the BPTMN calendar):

Note: For all these sessions, please be sure to wear your BPTMN badge.

The first 4 dates have been organized by Kelsey Johnson and Molly Kinson with the Frisco Natural Resources Dept. Kelsey and Molly would really appreciate our help, and have also invited the Frisco Garden Club to help get these seeds ready for the event.

When: 9-11 a.m.

Where: The Harvest, City of Frisco’s Community Garden (located behind The Grove at Frisco Commons)

What to Expect: BPTMN volunteers have been hard at work harvesting seeds from our natural areas.  Help us separate the seeds from the seed heads. These seeds will be used to make seed balls.

What to Bring: Please bring your own camp chair, water, and a hat.
