(VH) REVISED – Frisco Commons Park Prairie Restoration
June 26 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
We’ll have a workday from 9 to about noon, that will include plenty of time to make observations in the park natural areas.
Meet: At the circle in front of the main pavilion.
Project: Prairie restoration in the northern portion of Frisco Commons park.
Location: 8000 McKinney Road, Frisco, TX
Volunteer Opportunities: Removing of encroaching small trees, vines, and invasive plants in the prairie and the motts; gathering and redistributing grass and flower seed, litter removal, documenting flora and fauna.
Wear: Dress for the weather. Long sleeve shirts and pants, mud boots or hiking shoes.
Bring: Water, face mask, gloves, small hand tools (hand clippers, larger limb loppers, hand saw, etc.), small bags for trash collection. Also bring your smart phone or camera for opportunities to take pictures to identify the flora and fauna on the park.
