Event: Ned & Genie Fritz Buckeye Trail and Blair Park Trails Re-establishment Project
Date: Third Saturdays through May 2023
Time: 10:00 am–12:30 pm
Description: Following directions from Dallas Park and Recreation, volunteers will help maintain the Buckeye and Bois d’arc Trails, as well as trails in the Blair Park Wilderness area. ID native plants and remove invasives. Add and/or maintain signage, lead trail walks, and educate the public about this natural resource.

Location/Parking/Meet At: 6915 Bexar St., Dallas 75215, near Bonton Farms. Driving Directions. If the cul-de-sac is full, park along Bexar. On workdays, we meet at the circle concrete trail head over the levees.

Dress: Routine dress code for activity in the field: Long-pants, boots/close-toed shoes; long-sleeved shirts are recommended. Master Naturalists should wear their name badges.
Bring: Drinking water, gloves, sunscreen, insect repellant

Logging VH: VH should be logged as BPTMN: Other Riparian Restoration with “invasive plant removal/paddling trail” in the description box. Travel to and from the work site may also be logged as VH.

All volunteers must sign a waiver from the City of Dallas to work on city property. Per DPR, only hand tools are allowed for use by volunteers.
