(VH) Tree Planting at Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (BPRC)

December 1, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Hey there, Master Naturalists!

Looking for a few more volunteer hours to close out 2021? Your help is needed at the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center to assist with the planting of 150 trees on Wednesday, December 1.

Event:  Tree Planting at Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (BPRC)

Date:  Wednesday, December 1, 2021

Time:  10:00 AM

Work Plan: BPRC has received a grant of 150 one-gallon tree saplings from Apache Corporation. We are going to hold a ‘planting’ event on Wednesday December 1 starting at 10AM. The holes will be pre-dug with an auger, so volunteers will be planting and watering, not digging.

Location (including a map link):  1625 Brockdale Park Road, Lucas, Texas 75002 –  Map/Driving Directions

Dress:  Routine dress code for activity in the field: Long-pants, boots/close-toed shoes; long-sleeved shirts are recommended. Master Naturalists should wear their name badges.

Bring:  Drinking water, gloves, sunscreen, insect repellant and face mask (just in case)

Contact: Send an email to Lorelei Stierlen if you would like to participate:

Logging VH:  Volunteer work should be logged as: BPRC: Wildscape & Facility Maintenance with “Tree Planting” in the description box.
