Wish upon a butterfly

The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History invites you to join our annual live butterfly release on Saturday, July 27th, from 9 am – 12 pm. Starting at 9 am, check- in with a reception and enjoy live music, crafts, and free Museum admission with the purchase of a Monarch Butterfly. Monarch March

As spring approaches, monarch butterflies are preparing to make their annual 2,500-mile journey back to their homeland in the north. Among their stops along the way will be the Brazos Valley. To commemorate the iconic black and orange butterflies’ return to Aggieland, the College Station Parks & Recreation Department’s Monarch March event from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at Lick Creek Park Nature Center offers a variety of interactive educational activities.
