At our next Chapter meeting, we will be voting to adopt revisions for our Chapter documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

documentation. So please join us on March 19th, 2026<\/strong> for an important membership vote as well as a great presentation by Haley Kokel<\/strong> with Texas Parks and Wildlife to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, we would like to publicize that, going forward, every other monthly Chapter presentation will be preceded by a very short formal meeting for all Chapter members.<\/strong> We will have announcements of upcoming events, Chapter news, and an opportunity for those in attendance to ask questions and discuss what has been shared. Once concluded, that month’s guest speaker will be giving their presentation. So, if you would like to keep abreast of what is going on in the Chapter, please be sure to join us at our monthly meetings!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The option to pay your annual dues in our online store is now available! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to paying your membership dues for 2026, you can also make donations to our Chapter’s volunteer projects as well as the Junior Master Naturalists program in our online store! You can visit the online store by following the link below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State documentation has been updated. Dues are now due earlier than they were previously!
Membership dues must be paid by JANUARY 31st in order for you to continue recording hours in VMS and be considered an active member of the Chapter.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’ve taken a look at our events calendar for the new year, then you’ve no doubt seen that we have our annual Chapter retreat is coming up soon. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

…so what does that mean, exactly?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective), there are no trust falls, arts & crafts, or sing-alongs. Instead, our Board and any interested general members gather each January to discuss what our Chapter’s plans are for the new year. We discuss the budget for the new fiscal year, plan events, discuss what goals or opportunities we would like to pursue over the next few months, and pass the torch to any new Board members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
