AT: Angler Education Instructor Training

Become a TPWD Certified Angler Education Instructor.
This free workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in learning and teaching fishing skills in their communities. We provide all equipment and materials for the workshop. After certification, the program provides the curriculum, equipment (where available), materials and support to help you successfully introduce others to fishing. Ideal for fishing clubs, teachers, scout or youth group leaders, after school or camp staff and community volunteers. TEA-approved CPE available for teachers.
Wear comfortable clothing and footwear for outdoor activities. Please bring a sack lunch (for a working lunch.) Workshop is limited to 20 attendees.

Step 1: Use your phone, iPad or computer to register for the TPWD “Angler Education Instructor Training Pending – statewide” Opportunity.

For new TPWD volunteers: click on the blue “Apply to become a volunteer” link at the bottom and follow the prompts to create a volunteer profile. Please remember to authorize and complete the Criminal Background Check section. All fields must be completed including your date of birth and Driver’s License number.
For current TPWD volunteers: Enter your TPWD User ID and password and click on the blue “Log In” button
Step 2: To complete registration, call or email the workshop leader with your TPWD Volunteer User ID, first and last name, and contact info. Additionally, if you have questions or need assistance with your TPWD profile.
