Lan Shen has lived in Houston most of her life, but never knew about our native prairies until becoming a Texas Master Naturalist in 2005. She is an avid gardener and quickly became fascinated with the prairie and prairie plants. Currently, she works part time at Katy Prairie Conservancy as Seed Collection Manager and volunteers for KPC and Gulf Coast Master Naturalists’ (native) Plant Propagation Program. She is a board member of the Native Plant Society of Texas – Houston Chapter and Houston Chapter – Native Prairies Association of Texas.
