VSP: Houston Native Prairie Association of Texas (HNPAT) Seed Cleaning & Packing Party

Wednesday, January 23, 2019 is the annual Seed Cleaning and Packing Pizza Party sponsored by Katy Prairie Conservancy (KPC) in conjunction with Houston Chapter – Native Prairies Association of Texas (HNPAT).   This event will start at 6:30 p.m. with a pizza party hosted by the KPC,  then seed cleaning and packing starts at 7:00 p.m.  We will be cleaning seeds collected from the wild this fall and putting them in packets to be distributed to people willing to grow them out for KPC’s Great Grow Out Program.  Information on the Great Grow Out Program will be available at the meeting.  Come and see what these native seeds look like, how to clean them, and take some home.

The location is the Red Cross Building, 2700 Southwest Fwy, Houston, TX 77098.   All are welcome.  You volunteer your time to clean the seeds, KPC supplies the pizza, and HNPAT supplies the location. A signup link will be provided at a later date.
