Rick and Stella Davison will be sharing their expertise on interpretive nature talk and walks. With both training and experience under their belts, this will be an informative and fun class.
Michelle Sullivan, CPCTMN VSP/Outreach Director, will also show us how to use the Wagons on Wheels (WOWs) for outreach presentations and booths.
Another volunteer opportunity will be provided by Jim Butcher who will be handing out seeds, pots and soil as part of the annual “Patio to Prairie” program. Jim, germinator in chief, will hand out seeds, trays, tags, and instructions. There will be 8″ x 20″ trays already loaded with soil. Just take a few trays home, and follow the instructions by our own Mark Morgenstern. When the little shoots appear in the following months, there will be notices in the bulletin as to when the “Prairie Pandemonium” events will occur. For this event the trays, minus about 10% for your personal prairie are returned to be bumped up. We are gearing up for some major planting events in 2016. Your hours spent tending there plants will count as V.S.P. For any questions or to request a large order please contact Jim Butcher.
Please join us for this great opportunity to learn how to participate in our chapter in 3 different ways and provide a great service to our community!
This meeting will be at Building B at the Fairgrounds at 6:30pm for social and 7:00pm for the program.
