AT: Road Trip! Coastal Birding Mega Migration

The Texas Coast is a top destination for birders from around the globe. Discover the numerous fascinating birds that can be seen on the Texas coast. Learn about avian ecology and behavior, as well as the natural history of this region. Many different types of birds will be seen–one highlight being the roseate spoonbill rookery. Whether this is your first or fiftieth birding trip, you will see and learn something new. Our guide on this journey is Ken Groue who will explain the ecology and biology of the migratory birds. We will visit multiple sites, each known for different species.

We will departure as a group in a van from HMNS at 8 a.m. and return in the afternoon. Bring a picnic lunch and binoculars.

Minimum age of participants is 15. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
