AT: Virtual Spring Symposium

March 13, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

$20 – $30

Our Spring symposium will be a virtual event on March 13 in collaboration with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. There will be seven presentations teaching the benefits of native plants for maintaining biodiversity and attracting local wildlife.

The format will be a little different this year. There will be a morning session with three speakers on riparian topics. Each will speak for thirty minutes and then there will be a Q and A session in a panel format. The afternoon session will follow a similar format with three speakers on pollinators and demonstration gardens. In addition there will be a lunch-time session with Dr Leslie Bush talking about edible native plants, including some preparation ideas.

Cost of the all-day event is $20 for members of either the Native Plant Society of Texas or the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The cost for non-members is $30. All sessions will be over Zoom. You must register in advance, and instructions on how to attend will be sent along with your confirmation.
