VSP: BioBlitz in Russ Pittman Park – Green COVID Alert

October 11, 2022 @ 7:00 am - October 23, 2022 @ 7:00 pm

Free

You’re invited to Russ Pittman Park (RPP) to help assess the diversity of the park – flowering plants, insects, birds, trees, or butterflies. At RPP, they wish to know what species are seen, so they can add them to the master list.

“If you’d like to participate, please just stop by the park sometime in the next few weeks, and make record your entries for the park on iNaturalist. The park even has a project on iNaturalist called “Russ Pitman Park”, which you can join. You can also submit your observations to me by email (eduran@naturediscoverycenter.org), and/or write your bird observations on the bird observations white board on the side of the nature center building.”

“Please let any other naturalists or biologists know about the event, and feel free to forward this email to people you think may be interested. There will not be any scheduled events as part of the Fall BioBlitz. This is something you may do on your own. You don’t have to notify us if you are going to participate, or if you’re not going to, you can just do it at your leisure.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

We will tabulate and publish the results in early November.

Thank so much, and have fun IDing and counting!
