VSP: FIRST EVER BIRD SURVEY at JBHF BURR PROPERTY

February 22 @ 7:00 am - 12:00 pm

Lake in the Burr Property in Wharton county

Join in on the FIRST bird survey out at the JBH Burr Property in Wharton County!!!

The property has never had a survey done before and it is a bit more of rugged terrain. We will probably not cover it all.   Hannah Muegge is also hoping to use this event as an opportunity to get ideas as to HOW to bird it.  There are 3 lakes and several wetland units on the property so we should see DUCKS!

Date and time:   Saturday, February 22nd starting at 8:00am, 7:45am meet time.

Depending on the weather conditions at that time, rubber boots are recommended!

Approximate address for the JBH Burr Property is 6763 CR 121 East Bernard.

Email RSVP to hannah@jbhfound.org is required!

From their website:

The Burr Property is tucked away near Burr in Wharton County, situated between Wharton and Boling. It encompasses approximately 1700 acres and will serve as the future location for The James B Harrison Foundation (JBH) Learning Center.  The JBH Learning Center will be designed to accommodate a variety of educational activities and will serve as the headquarters for our educational activities outreach.  The Burr Property has lakes of varying depths with fish and a variety of features to attract different kinds of waterfowl. Some of these different features includes wetlands, levees with water control structures, open fields, grassland and wooded timber areas.
