VSP: Houston Audubon Volunteer Work Parties at the Raptor and Education Center – TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID-19 LEVEL RED RESTRICTIONS

An event every month that begins at 8:00 am on day Second of the month, repeating indefinitely
Join the Houston Audubon for a morning of gardening and sanctuary maintenance! This is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and help in the community! Volunteer services can include trail maintenance, filling bird feeders and baths, litter pick-up, native gardening, and invasive species removal.
COVID-19 Precautions: Houston Audubon is requesting a maximum number of 8 volunteers per workday. Reserve a “ticket” to sign up: https://volunteersignup.org/WE7F3
Audubon Houston will ensure social/physical distancing is maintained and current public health precautions are being followed. They ask volunteers take an active role in this effort as well. Please have a mask/face covering in hand in the event social/physical distancing cannot be maintained.
Who: Adults and Children – children of any age are welcome with their parent/chaperone. Minimum age without a parent/chaperone is 14 years of age.)
When: 2nd Saturday of each month, 8:00 AM CST – 12:00 PM CST
Where: Houston Audubon Raptor and Education Center at Sims Bayou @ 3997 River Drive Houston TX 77017
What to take/wear to this event: Water, sunscreen, bug repellent, gloves, closed-toe shoes, and long pants. If desired, have a sack lunch.
