TEXAS MASTER NATURALIST – CYPRESS BASIN CHAPTER
2019 TRAINING INFORMATION

- Fee of $130 for individuals/ $200 for couples in the form of cash, check or money order made out to: Cypress Basin Texas Master Naturalist (CBTMN) must accompany the completed application
- Deadline for completed application: January 5, 2019
- Training encompasses 4 mandatory weekends:

Session I:
Friday, January 25 6:00-9:00 pm at Collins Academy in Jefferson, TX
Saturday, January 26 9:00am-5:00pm at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Karnack
Session II:
Friday, February 22 6:00-9:00 pm at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Karnack
Saturday, February 23 9:00am-5:00pm at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Karnack
Session III:
Friday, March 22 6:00-9:00pm at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Karnack
Saturday, March 23 9:00am-5:00pm at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Karnack
Session IV:
Friday, April 12 6:00-9:00pm at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Karnack
Saturday, April 13 9:00am-5:00pm at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Karnack
Certification as a Texas Master Naturalist requires completion of the following within one year:
- 40+ hours training includes combined class and field instruction on the dates listed above
- 40 hours volunteer service on approved projects
- 8 hours approved advanced training
Active members expected to:
- Participate in the Chapter’s Group Project (TBA)
- Attend monthly meetings
- After the first year, pay annual dues of $25 per person or $40 for couples
