July 6 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Monday, repeating until December 28, 2020
Come out to the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) to work on prairie restoration, wildscape, and facilities projects. Depending on the weather, projects may include nursery work such as seed harvesting or potting and plant rescue or replanting; maintenance of hiking trails; or removal of exotic species. Dress for the weather and bring your work gloves, sun and insect protection, and a bottle of water.
Volunteers meet at the Greenhouse between 8:45 and 9:00 AM. We will wrap up about noon. Please arrive by 9:00 as we may carpool to other locations on the LLELA property for workday activities.
In an effort to accommodate as many volunteers as possible while also keeping them as healthy as possible, for the near future please make these changes. Instead of the Monday and Wednesday at 9 all are welcome approach I would like to try to do the following. Starting June 29th we will open up the weekday mornings Mon – Fri 9 -12 and ask those who are wanting to join us to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can plan accordingly for the numbers of volunteers who are planning to come out any given day.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST SIGN IN UPON ARRIVAL IN ORDER TO CONTACT TRACE IF NECESSARY – THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
