Ray Roberts State Park, Isle Du Bois Unit, School Group – Volunteers Needed

March 18, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 1:30 pm

March 17th – A minimum of two volunteers are needed (more would be helpful!)  to assist with a 5th grade school group. Mindy would like volunteers comfortable leading backyard bass and teaching kiddos how to use a fishing pole (Mindy can teach someone how to lead this prior if needed), and someone to lead the guided hike.
Activities include: Guided Hike, Fish Ecology, Backyard Bass.

March 18th – Hike or program needed.  Share your passion at the Park by leading a hike or sharing your favorite program on this day. This is Friday of Spring Break week (in the area) so good weather should bring folks to the park. Mindy will be working in Johnson Branch this day – so she is looking for our support!

April 5th – Mindy has a field trip on April 5th, a Tuesday, and needs Master Naturalist support. A minimum of two volunteers are needed, but more would be helpful. She would like someone who is comfortable leading Skins and Skulls, and someone to read a related book to the kiddos and/or doing a quick craft.
Activities include: Skins and Skulls, Bug Safari, Reading with a Ranger with craft.

Please contact Denise Thompson at mdt8613@yahoo.com   or 214-448-7198 to volunteer at these events and receive a detailed schedule.
