Riparian Plants – AT
January 28 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The program will focus on commercially available native plant material suitable for the stabilization of riparian areas, and more specifically, which plants thrive in unique hydrologic zones of a stream or creek side– as well as their adaptability to tiered vegetation scenarios. (and how this affects the sunlight availability of the vegetation zone) The ultimate goal is to introduce how mature plant material in riparian areas can help maintain water quality and aid to prevent erosion and flooding.
Recommendations for native grasses, forbs, shrubs and trees that are adapted to both large and small drainage areas in North Central Texas will be provide.
