Come out to the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) to work on prairie restoration, wildscape, and facilities projects. Depending on the weather, projects may include nursery work such as seed harvesting or potting and plant rescue or replanting; maintenance of hiking trails; or removal of exotic species.  Dress for the weather and bring your work gloves, sun and insect protection, and a bottle of water. Volunteers meet at the Greenhouse between 8:45 and 9:00 AM. We will wrap up…

Riparian Plants – AT

The program will focus on commercially available native plant material suitable for the stabilization of riparian areas, and more specifically, which plants thrive in unique hydrologic zones of a stream or creek side-- as well as their adaptability to tiered vegetation scenarios.
