Texas Master Naturalist is an organization that seeks to educate members and to prepare them to volunteer in service of our natural resources.
Natural resources can include our land, backyard gardens, forests, waterways, wildlife, air and much more. We do jobs like test the water to be sure we have clean water to use, build bat houses for displaced bats, educate the public about coexisting peacefully with our wild neighbors, lead trail walks, educate the public at fairs and other venues, clear trails and repair and install signage, and much more. We are committed to being good stewards of our Earth and helping others understand how they can protect and preserve the beauty of East Texas, too. We love learning, giving, teaching and having fun while volunteering!
