The Texas Master Naturalist Curriculum Cover Art Contest

Texas Master Naturalist Cover Art Guidelines:

1. The purpose of the Texas Master Naturalist Curriculum is to be a resource guide for the Texas Master Naturalist volunteers in their training programs located around the state. The Cover of the Curriculum should represent the TMN program, its goals and mission and be timeless, native, comprehensive and attractive.
2. We are asking for only ONE submission from each Texas Master Naturalist that chooses to participate.
3. Image must be a High-Resolution File – view the Illustration Submission Guidelines from TAMU Press for reference.
4. The Cover Art is not limited to an individual photo – it could be a drawing, artwork, painting, a collage of images, anything. It has been suggested that the cover NOT include any people or dates.
5. The wording on the front will be set by the Page Design team at TAMU Press. It is suggested that the image not be so busy or contrasting that the title will not be legible. For this contest – NO wording or © information will be accepted printed on the image.
6. All images must be submitted to Mary Pearl Meuth by Friday March 20^th, 2015.
7. Submissions can be sent via email or mailed on a USB drive to Mary Pearl Meuth’s office at
   102 Nagle Hall, 2258 TAMU
   College Station, TX 77843
   All USB drives will be returned via the mail within a week’s time.
8. For inspiration for the cover, you can look to the TAMU Press website (tamupress.com) and see their typical/past cover image style.
9. The final submissions will be judged by Michelle and Mary Pearl. The top five will be chosen and submitted to the TAMU Press team. Their Page Designer team will choose the final image to be used.
10. Winner will be credited with recognition on inside cover/section of the TMN Curriculum, including name, chapter and a short bio.
