VOL – Sylvan Rodriquez prairie planting

Come help Houston Parks And Recreation Dept’s Natural Resources Management Program restore prairie at the park by planting prairie plants(forbs and grasses) into our 72-acre restoration site. Let Chatt know if you can be there(either text or email).

There will also be potting of prairie grasses at the HPARD maintenance facility. The potting is limited so please email Chatt Smith if you plan to be there.

This work day will be one of the monthly restoration days for Sylvan Rodriguez, scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Dress for the weather! Remember to bring water. Other things to consider are sunscreen, hats, and gloves.
