VOL – GISP work day

We will be weeding pots, potting and planting prairie grasses at Galveston Island State Park on 2/24 at 8:30am.

Dress for the weather! Remember to bring water. Other things to consider are sunscreen, hats, and gloves.The greenhouse is on the east side of the park. If you are going west (away from the city of Galveston), take a right at 13 Mile Road, which is the beginning of the park – there is a small white tank at that corner. Keep going straight where the road either goes straight or winds to the right. Before the fenced area on the right you’ll see several cars parked, which is where we’ll be.
