2023 Deadline is February 27, 2023: Application for Scholarship from Texas Master Naturalist: https://washington.agrilife.org/ag/glctmnscholarship/
Since 2014, the Gideon Lincecum chapter has offered scholarships to one eligible recipient per county for Austin, Colorado, Fayette, Lee, and Washington counties (the 5 counties that comprise the chapter’s territory). We believe that part of our mission as Texas Master Naturalists is to promote the concept of beneficial land stewardship in the next generation. As a non-profit organization, we are grateful to be able to dedicate funds to our annual scholarship program.
Each year, active 4-H or FFA members must meet eligibility criteria and complete an application process monitored by the chapter Scholarship Committee in partnership with local County Extension offices and the chapter’s Texas A&M AgriLife Advisor.
Applications are available from County Extension Agents and generally must be completed and submitted in early May of each year. After the students are selected, the scholarships are awarded once the students are enrolled in their university, college, or technical school of choice.
