These grasslands provide essential wildlife habitat but lack sufficient large-scale seed sources for restoration. For anyone up for it, we can meet up afterwards for lunch at Frontier Rodeo in Columbus.<\/p>\n<p>This AAH event will be held in conjunction with the town&#8217;s Trash Off Day, a part of Keep Columbus Beautiful sponsored by the Columbus Garden Club. We will take a group photo at 9am and again at the end with the trash bags for not only our publicity, but also for Keep Columbus Beautiful &#8211; a great way to get the TX Master Naturalist name out to the public!<\/p>\n<p>Sign in and get your segment assignment at the paved parking lot below the bridge. We\u2019ll be working on cleaning up, cutting back, and pulling out aggressive native and non-native plants.<\/p>\n<p>Bring gloves, hand clippers, and small trowel or other tool for digging up weeds, and don\u2019t forget to bring\u00a0<strong>water, sunscreen and a hat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone interested in helping in the garden is welcome.
