KPC – Seed Collecting

Important Notes:

• Meet at 1222 E. Purdue Lane, Deer Park, Texas 77536 (Google map)
• Please do not park directly in front of our neighbors’ houses
• In addition to KPC’s releases, please bring a signed NPAT liability release  if you do not have one on file from the past year.
• As noted previously, all except 10 acres of Deer Park Prairie were mowed in August. However, in the unmowed area, we were able to collect lots of seeds, including plenty of blue sage (S. azurea).

General Instructions:

• Everyone is welcome!
• You may collect for KPC, for any other non-profit organization, or for your own personal use.
• If you have them, please bring water in a reusable bottle, pruners or scissors, pen, and a bucket or a reusable grocery bag. Some supplies are available if needed.
• Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirt. We recommend you bring hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, snack for yourself, camera, and binoculars, if you are a birder.
• Paper bags for the seeds to be collected and water refills are available.
