GCMN Plant Propagation Workday
No experience or equipment necessary, but you may want to bring garden gloves and drinking water. We work rain or shine.
Some maps show the wrong location for the Memorial Park greenhouse. Please view the Google map or use the coordinates of the greenhouse: 29.763572, -95.430185. The Greenhouse is on the south side of Memorial Drive between the traffic lights at E. Memorial Loop Drive and Crestwood Drive. There is a green “Memorial Maintenance Facility – 6501 Memorial Dr.” park sign at the driveway to the greenhouse. After driving inside the fence, park in front of the first building on the right.
Pre-registration is NO LONGER required for volunteers. For additional information please contact Gail Baxter.
We will continue to follow general safety guidelines including providing spacing between volunteers, volunteers are asked to provide their own gloves if possible, and volunteers may continue to wear a mask. New volunteers will be sent a volunteer waiver that must be filled out before arrival; forms are typically available on site, as well.
