The Ambassador program is Bayou Land Conservancy’s adult environmental education program. It is offered twice a year with classes held on weekends. As an Ambassador, you will learn about the unique features of the local ecology and all the exciting work that BLC does. After completing the program, you will have a better understanding of what’s in your backyard, how to protect and preserve the greenway, and how you can get involved in the amazing work that BLC does.
Ambassador Curriculum:
Orientation – introduction to Bayou Land Conservancy and land trusts
Local flora/fauna identification
Access points of the Greenway
Watershed 101
Wetlands education
Recognition and removal of invasive species
How to blaze and maintain low-impact trails
