November Meeting

The November meeting of the Highland Lakes Native Plant Society of Texas will be on Saturday, November 17, from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Marble Falls Public Library. Our speaker will be Josie Overton of Marble Falls.  Josie is a former rancher and a former teacher who has extensive experience in “dried crafts.”  She will show us natural ways to dry wildflowers and native grasses to use in making notecards and floral arrangements.  She will also discuss finding in the fields appropriate flowers and grasses for drying and the best time of the year to harvest them.  Josie is planning a “hands-on” approach.

The meeting is at the Marble Falls Public Library. The social starts at 1:00 pm with the speaker starting at 1:30pm.
