From 9:00 to 12:00 Saturday morning we will survey the riparian plants on Bessie’s Creek on a “reach” of approximately 200 meters beginning near the southern edge of Camp Field. You are encouraged to participate whether or not you can identify every plant, because most of us have only partial knowledge of the many species along Bessie’s.
The purpose of this survey is to establish a baseline of the riparian community prior to dam removal, infrastructure development and public use.
Wear good footwear, bring water. A trekking pole is helpful.
