Event Summary:
Summer has been a whirlwind for the Birding with Extension Team — WE MISS OUR BIRDING FAMILY! The other responsibilities of our jobs demand a lot of time during the summer, but we are excited to be getting kids back in school and hosting our fall birding program – LEARN TO BIRD!
Event Description:
Learn to Bird is a program for new and beginning birders to take their skills to the next level! This program features focused birding trips lead by professional guide Bryan Calk and educational presentations by AgriLife Extension faculty. In 2021, Learn to Bird will be hosted in TWO locations! Learn to Bird West will take place at the Kerr Wildlife Management Area in Kerr County, and the new Learn to Bird East will be held at Long Acres Ranch in Fort Bend County, just outside Richmond.
Cost: $375.00
The cost can be paid in full or as a $50 deposit followed by the remainder
Includes: classes and birding with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension faculty and a professional birding guide, all meals, and property access fees
Learn to Bird West: Participants are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements. Information on a room block at a hotel in Kerrville coming soon.
Learn to Bird East: Participants are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements. Birding with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has arranged a Learn to Bird group rate at the Fairfield by Marriott in Richmond.

Space is limited! Learn to Bird is capped at 15 participants. At least 10 participants must register for the program to be held.
