Bryan Hummel is a Hill Country native and a biologist by birth. He has incorporated nature-based green-infrastructure practices into several habitat regeneration projects. His passion is helping communities convert flooding liabilities into groundwater assets and enhanced spring flow. This can be done by “teaming with nature” for the benefit of People, Planet, and Profits.
His presentation will cover nature-based principals that can be used to regenerate ecosystem health and resilience from a simple backyard bioswale to a community-scale carbon-sequestration flood-mitigation and aquifer-recharge project… all using native plants.
